The answer

A husband's statement "we will divorce" or "we will divorce after a month" is a promise of divorce that does not effect it. As for the phrase "what was between us has ended," it is an allusive expression (kinayah) by which divorce does not occur unless the husband intends divorce by it. If he intends that he will divorce later, then it does not occur. A Muslim is advised to learn the matters of his religion, be keen on residing in Muslim countries, and avoid intense anger.
