Is it permissible to work or live with a female relative who sells alcohol in her commercial shop?

The ruling on working in shops that sell alcohol and other forbidden items has been previously explained. As for residing with the aforementioned woman, it is permissible if she is a mahram (definition) and there is no fear of fitna; otherwise, it is not permissible. If residence is permissible, then there is no harm in eating from her food if she possesses money other than the price of alcohol, because her wealth is mixed between lawful and unlawful, and it is permissible to eat from it, even though it is more cautious to refrain. The questioner is reminded that travel and residence in non-Muslim lands are not permissible except out of necessity.
