What is the ruling on a gift given by a non-Muslim to his Muslim female relative if it later becomes apparent that the donor was suffering from a death sickness at the time of the gift, whether or not the donor or the recipient knew about it? And must the sister return the amount she received as a gift from the same donor, through her relative, under the same circumstances?

If the donor's illness appears after the gift has been given and taken possession of, then the gift is valid and effective, as the suspicion that prevents a gift during death illness is absent.

However, a gift that was not given until after the illness appeared is considered a bequest and is executed from one-third of the estate. It is permissible for the donor to be a non-Muslim.
