What is meant by the word (Makruh)? And what is the difference between it and Haram?

"Makruh (definition)" in language means the opposite of beloved. Terminologically, it refers to that which the Lawgiver has requested to be abandoned, but not with a definitive command. Thus, one who abandons it out of compliance is rewarded, while one who commits it is not punished. As for "haram (definition)," it literally means forbidden. Terminologically, it refers to that which the Lawgiver has requested to be abandoned with a definitive command. It is the opposite of "halal (definition)." A servant is rewarded for avoiding it if he abandons it out of compliance with the command of the Sharia (definition), not out of fear, shyness, or inability.
