Is it permissible to disburse the grandfather's and grandmother's bequests from the son's private account, given that there is an inheritance from the father? And is it permissible to disburse them and slaughter the cow designated in the bequest in Makkah Al-Mukarramah instead of the deceased father's country, knowing that the father did not specify the country in his will?
Fulfilling a father's will after his death is desirable and an act of filial piety towards him. If a grandfather bequeaths a will and leaves behind wealth, the will must be executed before the inheritance is divided, provided it does not exceed one-third of the wealth.
If the grandfather did not leave sufficient wealth for his will, the son is not obligated to fulfill it if he is unable to do so due to his poverty.
However, if the grandson is affluent and capable of fulfilling the grandfather's will, performing it from his own expense is permissible and an act of filial piety towards the grandfather.
Slaughtering a cow in Mecca is permissible unless the grandfather specified a particular location. If he designated a country, it is not permissible to transfer it unless its inhabitants are self-sufficient, in which case it can be transferred to the nearest country.
Sacrificial animal companies in Mecca transport meat outside the city. Therefore, it might be preferable to slaughter the cow outside Mecca and distribute it among its poor.
