If you intend to perform ' from Turbah, your is Qarn al-Manazil or As-Sail al-Kabeer, and you must enter into Ihrām from there. If you were to enter into Ihrām directly from Jeddah, a 'dam' (sacrifice) would be incumbent upon you. However, if you pass through Jeddah with the intention of returning to the Miqat to enter into Ihrām from there, there is no sin in that according to some scholars. This would then exempt you from the 'dam' because you fulfilled the obligation by returning and entering into Ihrām from the Miqat. But if you enter into Ihrām from Jeddah without returning to the Miqat, a 'dam' is incumbent upon you.
