Is it permissible for me to perform Hajj with the money I currently have, or should I wait to first purchase a house and a car?
Source: FtawySummary from Ftawy's records · added here Sep 2, 2026
Hajj is not obligatory for someone who only possesses enough money to buy a dwelling, because Hajj is only incumbent upon those who are able. A dwelling is considered one of the essential needs that take precedence over Hajj. A car may also be considered an essential need in this era, and therefore, purchasing it may take precedence over Hajj.
