What is the ruling on hunting with dogs, is it forbidden or permissible?
Hunting with dogs is permissible if four conditions are met:
1. The dog must be trained for hunting and respond to the hunter's commands.
2. The hunter must mention the name of Allah the Almighty when sending the dog.
3. The dog must not have eaten from the game, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "If you send your trained dog and it kills, then eat. But if it eats, then do not eat, for it has kept it for itself."
4. The hunter must not be in a state of for Hajj or , based on Allah the Almighty's saying: "And forbidden to you is game of the land as long as you are in a state of ihram" and His saying: "But when you are out of ihram, then hunt."
