What is the ruling on swearing falsely, saying, "I have not been to Hajj before," while knowing that one has been, and is it permissible to go to Hajj after paying expiation (kaffarah), and what is this expiation?

Intentionally swearing a false oath is an "oath of immersion" ( ghamus), and its expiation is sincere repentance ( nasuh). The Shafi'is hold that expiation is obligatory for it, and this is more cautious. This does not prevent one from going for Hajj.
