What must a woman performing Umrah, who has been prevented by an accident from completing her rituals, do, and is it permissible for Umrah to be performed on her behalf?

If the questioner's mother is prevented from completing the ritual, she must slaughter a sacrificial animal (hady) to exit her state of ihram (definition). If she is unable to do so, she must fast for ten days, and then she can exit her ihram. If the questioner's mother has not performed the Hajj of Islam and is afflicted with a chronic illness (ma'dhoobah), she must appoint someone to perform Umrah (definition) on her behalf. However, if her recovery is hoped for, she must wait until she recovers and then perform Umrah.
