Is it forbidden for a man who is a stranger to an old woman, who is considered like a grandmother, to kiss and embrace her?

Shaking hands with non-mahram (definition) women is forbidden, based on the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "For one of you to be stabbed in the head with an iron needle is better for him than that he should touch a woman whom it is not lawful for him to touch." Some scholars made an exception for an old woman who is not desired, provided there is no fear of temptation. However, no one has permitted kissing or embracing an old woman. You must repent for what has occurred and refrain from it in the future.
