Is it permissible for a woman to correct the Imam during prayer?

The evidence indicates the permissibility of prompting the Imam in all cases, for both men and women. This is done by reminding him of a verse if he forgets it during a loud recitation, or by men saying "SubhanAllah" (Glory be to Allah) and women clapping to alert him of forgetting one of the pillars of prayer. Prompting the Imam may become obligatory if the validity of his prayer depends on it, such as if he omits part of Al-Fatiha. There is no harm for a woman in prompting the Imam, but if the Imam is a non-mahram (definition) to her, or if a non-mahram man is present, she should not do so unless there is no man available to perform this action.
