The answer

A man has an 'awrah (private parts) which he is not allowed to intentionally expose in front of non- individuals. The existence of an 'awrah for a man is an innate matter, because the repulsion towards 'awrah is something with which Allah has endowed humanity. In this regard, men and women are equal. Allah Almighty said: "And when they tasted of the tree, their private parts became manifest to them, and they began to stitch together over themselves some of the leaves of Paradise." So, the 'awrah is that which causes shame and fear, and its origin is from 'aar (disgrace).
