The answer

Dancing is swaying with rhythmic movements, and its ruling is divided into:

Permissible (): Children dancing for play and recreation, and dancing during Eid celebrations, as long as it is not excessive or accompanied by anything forbidden. Sinful (Ma'siyah): Dancing during dhikr (remembrance of Allah) or considering it an act of worship. Permissible with restrictions (Mubah bi-dawabit): A woman dancing in front of her husband, or women dancing among themselves while covering their bodies (it is preferable to avoid it in front of other women). Forbidden (): A woman dancing in front of non- men.

Jurists have agreed on rejecting the testimony of a dancer due to the loss of his moral integrity (Muru'ah).
