What is the ruling on my working as a demonstrator (معيدة) in the Faculty of Medicine at Al-Azhar University, given that my teaching will be exclusively for women, and my interactions with men will be very minimal, and that female students in subsequent academic years will be obliged to examine both men and women?

It is permissible for a woman to work in teaching if it does not entail any religious prohibitions, provided that she adheres to the Sharia (definition) guidelines when dealing with men. Thus, it is not permissible for a woman to allow any man to be alone with her (khalwa (definition)), nor to converse with a non-mahram (definition) man except out of necessity and without a soft voice. As for the students being compelled to examine men, this does not prevent her from working, but advice should be offered to the college administration to observe the Sharia in this regard.
