What should one do who swore not to meet a girl, then met her several times? Should he fast three days for each time, or is this considered a vow and he is only required to make atonement once?

Among the rights of a father over his son are righteousness and obedience. Therefore, we advise the questioner to obey his father and avoid anything that displeases him. We also alert the questioner to the danger of mixing with non-mahram (definition) women and being alone with them. As for meeting the girl he swore not to meet, he is bound by an expiation for breaking an oath: feeding ten poor persons, or clothing them, or freeing a slave. If he is unable to do so, then he must fast for three days. However, fasting three days is only obligatory if his commitment was in the form of an oath of contention (nadhir al-lajaj).
