The answer

The effect of the evil eye has been established on farms, vehicles, and shops, just as it affects humans. Protection is prescribed by asking Allah for well-being, by performing , and by saying: "Ma sha' Allah, la quwwata illa billah (What Allah wills, there is no power except with Allah)" upon seeing something admirable. The righteous predecessors used to do this, interpreting the words of Allah the Almighty: "And if only when you entered your garden, you had said, 'What Allah wills [has occurred]; there is no power except in Allah.'" Also among the means of protection is saying: "Allahumma barik 'alayh (O Allah, bless it)."
