Does Islam encourage kindness of heart and excessive respect for people, bearing in mind that a strong personality is not always acquired?

Kindness of heart and purity of speech are praiseworthy qualities extolled by Islamic law. In the Hadith (definition): "Every person with a pure heart and truthful tongue [will enter Paradise]," and "a pure heart" is defined as "the pious, the pure, who has no sin, no transgression, no malice, and no envy." In another Hadith: "A Muslim is he from whose tongue and hand the Muslims are safe," and "The believer is not a slanderer, nor a curser, nor an obscene person, nor a foul-mouthed person." These qualities do not signify weakness of character; rather, weakness of character is found in those who are influenced by others into bad morals. One must beware of being influenced by sharp-tongued women, for a sharp-tongued or mannish woman is blameworthy. Indeed, "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the mannish women."
