Is it permissible for me to lie to my stingy father to obtain money for necessities, or to take from his money without his knowledge to pay the symbolic fees for a computer course, by analogy with what was permitted for the wife of Abu Sufyan? And am I sinful for lying to my father about going to memorize the Qur’an in a mosque in another city, claiming to be training in an engineering office, in order to avoid his refusal due to transportation costs, knowing that my mother is aware of this and I am in need of that faith-based environment?

The narration "Seek knowledge even if it be in China" is a fabricated, false . It is obligatory to honor and be dutiful to one's parents, even if they have bad manners. Disobeying them is forbidden, and a woman sins if she travels without a (unmarriageable kin) if that is considered a journey. Lying to obtain money from the father or taking it without his knowledge is not permissible, as the father is not religiously obligated to cover the expenses of his daughter's studies or educational courses.
