The answer

Masturbation is forbidden, and its harms are many, such as sexual dysfunction and the impermissibility of watching pornography. The basic principle is that the insertion of the husband's semen has the ruling of intercourse. However, if the emission of semen was by an unlawful means, such as the husband masturbating with his hand, then it is not considered respected semen. Consequently, its insertion does not have the ruling of intercourse according to some scholars. Among the most emphasized rights of a wife is that her husband should keep her chaste and fulfill her right to sexual intimacy.
