According to the majority of jurists, the suitor is not obligated to be informed of such a defect. However, it is preferable to inform him definitively to prevent disputes. The expenses for the wife's treatment and the cost of her medication are not obligatory upon the husband, according to the majority of jurists. Some scholars, however, hold that it is obligatory for him. Nevertheless, the husband should not refuse to cover her treatment expenses if he is able. In matters of dispute such as these, it is not advisable to rely solely on a fatwa (definition); rather, it is preferable to consult the Sharia (definition) court.
