What is the etiquette for the sick, and what matters help the sick to endure their illness with patience?
The sick person should be patient, have a good opinion of Allah, seek reward, remember Allah often, and supplicate for their own healing. They should also seek treatment through medicine and legitimate , for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Seek treatment, for Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, has not created a disease without creating a cure for it." What helps them be patient is seeking reward from Allah, and remembering that the patient will be given their reward without reckoning, and that "no calamity befalls a Muslim but Allah atones for some of his sins because of it, even if it is a thorn that pricks him," and that what afflicted them was not meant to miss them, and what missed them was not meant to afflict them.
