The answer

There is no religious evidence that prohibits the use of jinn in treatment and permissible matters. The default rule in dealings is permissibility unless there is evidence of prohibition. Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah held the view that it is permissible to use jinn in permissible matters, just as humans are used. Therefore, whoever seeks their help in sin and transgression is disobedient, and whoever seeks their help in disbelief becomes a disbeliever. And whoever seeks their help in matters they deem as miracles, like Hajj, has been deceived. Imam Al-Shalabi, in his book "Ahkam al-Jann" (Rulings on the Jinn), mentioned narrations about jinn teaching medicine to humans. Dr. Al-Jumaili commented that whoever claims this is usually a pretender. There is no doubt that there are believing and righteous jinn who can assist humans in good deeds. However, regarding their ability to perform surgical operations, no statement has been reported that either proves or denies it.
