Is the desire for people’s praise considered hypocrisy? What is the ruling on publishing a beautiful recitation of the Quran on social media if one fears a lack of sincere intention? Is the effort of studying medicine worth all this hardship, and can it be a means of entering Paradise?

Seeking the pleasure and affection of people should not be the motivation for good deeds and good manners, for this is shirk (definition) (polytheism) that nullifies the عمل (deed), and Allah accepts only that which is done sincerely for His sake. If you do something for Allah and you receive praise from people, there is no harm in rejoicing over it, as it is an immediate glad tiding for the believer.

Therefore, the obligation is to be sincere in your deeds to Allah the Almighty. If Allah is pleased with you, He will turn the hearts of people towards you. You should not let the fear of showing off (riya') deter you from performing beneficial good deeds, for this is a trick of Satan. You must strive to purify your intention for Allah in your deeds and to guard against shirk. Recite frequently the supplication: "O Allah, we seek refuge in You from associating anything with You knowingly, and we seek Your forgiveness for what we do not know."
