What is the ruling on a young man excessively publishing pictures of himself on social media, especially if these pictures show him to be handsome and well-groomed, and are these pictures considered a temptation for girls, similar to how pictures of girls tempt young men?

"Photographic and video imaging are a matter of scholarly dispute. The preponderant view is that they are permissible, but it is advisable to refrain from what is not necessitated by dire necessity or extreme need, especially in cases where young people excessively publish their private photos without any benefit. The matter worsens if the photo is striking and leads to fitna (temptation/strife). Scholars have unanimously agreed on the impermissibility of a woman looking at men with lust."
