Is it permissible to open current accounts in usurious banks to facilitate receiving bank transfers from customers, with the intention of withdrawing the amounts later and depositing them in Islamic banks?

It is forbidden to open an account in a usurious bank for the purpose of taking interest. As for opening a current account without interest, scholars have differed concerning it, and the more cautious approach is to avoid it unless there is a need. Among the needs that permit it are: safeguarding money, facilitating business transactions, or receiving salaries. A group of scholars has explicitly stated the permissibility of this when there is a need, including the Permanent Committee for Issuing Fatwas, Sheikh Ibn Baz, Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen, and Sheikh Abdul Aziz Al-Rajhi, provided that no interest is taken.
