Are centers that provide telecommunications services obligated to pay Zakat according to Sharia?

These centers have two scenarios:

First: If they are taken for trade, then zakat (definition) is obligatory upon them, just like trade goods.

Second: If they are taken for benefiting from their income while their principal remains, then there is no zakat on them. However, zakat becomes obligatory on the income if a year passes over it, and it reaches the minimum threshold by itself or by what is added to it from cash or goods.
