The answer

There is no harm in purchasing goods from the manufacturer after finding a buyer, provided that the sales contract with the customer is not finalized until after the goods have been acquired. It is not permissible for the contract or a binding promise to be made before purchasing the goods, due to the prohibition by the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, against selling what one does not possess. The one making the promise may commit either to buying or to paying compensation for damages resulting from failing to fulfill the promise, which negates the obligation to purchase.
