What is the ruling on the dealings of "Drive" Installment Company, a car financing company owned by the owner of Hyundai Company, in selling Hyundai and other cars without actually buying the cars from Hyundai, but rather Hyundai delivers the cars directly to the customer after contracting with "Drive"?

There is no objection to the installment company "Drive" dealing with a "Hyundai" car if it is owned by the same person, provided that no additional charges are imposed on the installments in case of late payment, as that would be usury. As for other brands, the company is not permitted to sell them until it fully owns them, in adherence to the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Do not sell what you do not possess." This is applied within the regulations of Murabaha sale for one who commands a purchase.
