What is the ruling on the annual subscription to the "White Sands" program, which costs you money, then asks you to like videos or pages on YouTube and Facebook in exchange for a financial reward?

It is not permissible to participate in the White Sands program because it is based on gambling (Maysir (definition)), as it requires an upfront payment, and its reality is a guaranteed loss and a potential gain. Allah, the Exalted, says: ﴿O you who have believed, indeed, intoxicants, gambling, [sacrificing to] stone altars, and divining arrows are but defilement from the work of Satan, so avoid it that you may succeed.﴾ Gambling (Maysir) is every transaction that oscillates between loss and gain. It is also not permissible for a person to create more than one account for browsing and advertising operations due to the deception and fraud involved therein.
