Is it permissible to work as an intern in accounting and financial statement auditing, even though the companies include activities involving usury, insurance, and taxes?

It is not permissible to audit usurious accounts because it involves an acknowledgment and recording of usury. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, cursed the one who consumes usury, the one who feeds it, its scribe, and its two witnesses, and they are all equal. Furthermore, the Permanent Committee has issued a fatwa (definition) stating the impermissibility of an accountant working on auditing these accounts, due to it being cooperation in sin and transgression. As for compulsory insurance and taxes, there is no objection to auditing them.
