It is permissible to benefit from the compensation paid by an insurance company, whether the insurance is cooperative or commercial. If it is cooperative, the permissibility is clear. If it is commercial, the prohibition lies in subscribing, not in receiving the right. Sheikh Ibn Jibreen holds the view that it is permissible to take compensation from an insurance company as long as it is committed to paying it.
