What is the ruling on continuing a life insurance contract that includes an investment with interest, knowing that it can be terminated after ten years without penalty, or before that with a 20% penalty? And is the money resulting from this contract unlawful, preventing the performance of Hajj?

Commercial insurance is forbidden due to the presence of (excessive uncertainty) and riba (interest/usury) within it. Whoever is afflicted by it must exit from it and dispose of the excess money by giving it to the poor. If exiting will cause a 20% loss, and the term is about to expire, it is permissible to remain until the money is recovered and then dispose of the excess. The money paid for the insurance is the questioner's property, and it is permissible to perform Hajj with it after recovering it. As for the excess, it is forbidden and must be disposed of.
