The question

What is the ruling on money earned by a father from his work in an insurance company – is it permissible (halal), impermissible (haram), or mixed – knowing that he invested it in a permissible (halal) project after depositing it in the bank, and is it permissible for the children and wife to benefit from this money and accept gifts from him such as apartments and money?

The answer

Working in commercial insurance companies is impermissible.

Only the principal capital and its usurious interest must be disposed of; what resulted from a permissible project is lawful.

If the father spends from lawful money, it is permissible to take from him. If he spends from mixed money (insurance and a permissible project), it is also permissible. However, if he spends only from insurance money, it is not permissible to take from him if one is self-sufficient with their own money and work. This ruling applies to the mother and siblings as well.
