Can a Jinn enter the human body?

The existence of jinn is affirmed by the Qur’an, the Sunnah (definition), and the consensus of the early Muslims (Salaf). The jinn’s entry into the human body is also affirmed by the agreement of the imams of Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama’ah, as in the Almighty’s saying: "Those who consume interest will not stand [on the Day of Resurrection] except as one stands who is being beaten by Satan into insanity." (Surat Al-Baqarah, 2:275). There is no one among the imams of the Muslims who denies the jinn’s entry into the body of the afflicted.
