Is an agreement to ship a mobile phone for one hundred Riyals, on condition that the mobile phone be used for thirty Riyals, and the full amount be refunded after one month, considered usury (riba)?

This act is considered usury, because its reality is that the lender lent you a sum of money on the condition that he benefits from your phone by a certain amount. This benefit is a stipulated advantage at the time of the contract, and every loan that draws a stipulated benefit is usury. It was narrated in the Hadith (definition): "Every loan that draws a benefit is a form of usury." Usury is one of the major sins, and Allah has threatened usurers with war from Him and His Messenger, and with the destruction of their wealth. Many Quranic and Prophetic texts have been revealed prohibiting usury and emphasizing its gravity.
