The answer

Firstly: It is not permissible to open an account in usurious banks, except in cases of extreme necessity, and only a current account, not a savings account.

Secondly: It is permissible to benefit from the profits of a savings account in Islamic banks that invest funds in permissible areas.

Thirdly: It is obligatory to dispose of usurious interest by spending it on the welfare of Muslims or giving it to the poor and needy; it should not be returned to the bank. If you leave it with a bank official, it is permissible if he is trustworthy; otherwise, you are not absolved unless you take it and spend it as prescribed, or pay an equivalent amount from your own money if it is impossible to retrieve it. If you have used any of it, you must pay its equivalent to the prescribed beneficiaries.
