It is permissible for a woman to announce her pregnancy after the fertilized egg has been implanted in her womb. Otherwise, it is permissible to use tawriyah (deliberate ambiguity) by intending her " حمل " ( حمل means both "pregnancy" and "carrying") to mean carrying household burdens or belongings. Deliberate lying is not permissible unless there is a compelling interest that cannot be achieved through tawriyah.
