Is skipping a daily lesson in the mosque considered a turning away from the remembrance of Allah, and does the verse: "But whoever turns away from My remembrance - indeed, he will have a difficult life" apply to him?

Absence from the daily lesson without an excuse indicates a lack of interest in knowledge and a lack of diligence from its seeker, which is blameworthy, as evidenced by the Hadith (definition) of Abu Waqid al-Laythi, which condemns those who turn away from gatherings of knowledge. And the Almighty's saying: "And whoever turns away from My remembrance – indeed, he will have a difficult life" includes those who turn away from Allah's commands and what He revealed to His Messenger, living with constricted chests, anxiety, confusion, and doubt, even if they appear outwardly prosperous.
