The answer

Allah has forbidden usury and has forbidden aiding in it, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Allah has cursed the one who consumes Riba (usury), its payer, its scribe, and its two witnesses," and he said: "they are all equal [in sin]." So, if the purpose of learning usurious economics is to aid in it by teaching it to those who practice it and training them in it, then it is forbidden. However, if it is for the purpose of understanding its reality and clarifying it to scholars of Islamic law, then this is a good intention and there is no sin in it.
