The answer

Previous reference was made to earlier fatwas concerning the ruling on interest earned from investment certificates or savings in usurious banks, and that the objective is to clarify the rulings in light of the Qur’an, , and the sayings of scholars. Every person's words can be taken or left, except for the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. The Sunnah of the Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, must be given precedence over the opinions of men, unless it violates a firm consensus. The errors of scholars are forgiven amidst their vast virtues and should not be a cause for belittling them. An ordinary person should follow the imams of guidance without fanaticism.
