What is the ruling on working in a central bank that does not deal with the public, does not offer loans, and does not accept deposits?

The central bank is called the bank of banks or the state bank, and its functions are numerous. Some are permissible, such as issuing currency, and some are forbidden, such as lending with interest to usurious banks. Consequently, the ruling on working in the central bank depends on the nature of the work itself and its relation to Sharia (definition) prohibitions. If the work itself is free from prohibitions and does not directly assist in any of them, then the work is permissible; otherwise, it is forbidden. This is what some contemporary scholars lean towards. As for the bank not dealing with the public, this does not change the ruling if it deals with usury with corporate entities or issues usurious bonds.
