The answer

Congregational prayer is obligatory for adult men, and it is not a condition to perform it in the mosque. So, if you pray in congregation at your home with your family, you have fulfilled the obligation. However, if you are unable to perform congregational prayer except in the mosque, it does not become waived unless there is an excuse, such as fear of harm. We advise you to be diligent in praying in the mosque to avoid the difference of opinion among those who deem it obligatory there, and to attain great reward and an increase in faith. Do not pay attention to harassment or ridicule, for one who adheres to his religion in times of strangeness will receive a great reward.
