Is the view that urinary incontinence ( سلس البول ) does not invalidate ablution ( الوضوء ), which is the doctrine of Imam Malik, incorrect? If not, why are all opinions not presented when answering questions about the ablution of a person with incontinence? Is it permissible for a person with incontinence to perform ablution a few minutes before the time for the obligatory prayer ( الفريضة ) begins, in order to pray the supererogatory prayers ( النوافل ) and then the obligatory prayer with the same ablution? Is it valid for people with excuses to perform a "nominal combination" ( الجمع الصوري ) by praying Dhuhr at the end of its time and Asr at the beginning of its time with the same ablution, or Maghrib at the end of its time and Isha at the beginning of its time with the same ablution? Is it permissible for a person with incontinence to perform ablution a few minutes before the Friday call to prayer ( أذان الجمعة ) in order to pray the supererogatory prayers, catch the sermon, and join the congregational prayer, and then perform ablution a few minutes before the Asr prayer time begins to pray Asr in congregation? What is the correct latest time for the Maghrib prayer that allows for the nominal combination of Maghrib and Isha for people with excuses?
Continuous ( سلس ) discharge is considered a nullifier of ablution unless it is continuous for most or all of the time, or for half of it, and cannot be treated. The ablution of a person with continuous discharge should be performed after the entry of the prayer time according to the Shafi'is and Hanbalis, while the Malikis and Hanafis permit it before the time. The notional combining ( الجمع الصوري ) of prayers is permissible for a person with continuous discharge according to the Malikis and others. Some scholars permit him to combine prayers by performing them early ( جمع التقديم ) or delaying them ( جمع التأخير ) with a single ablution. It is advisable to avoid scholarly disagreement by performing ablution for each prayer after its time has entered. If that becomes difficult, one may adopt the view that permits the notional combining of prayers.
