Should I stop following a scholarly program to perform the Maghrib prayer in congregation, or is it permissible for me to perform it individually if the prayer time is still available?

The obligatory congregational prayer is obligatory for a capable man who hears the adhan (definition), and it is not permissible for him to perform it at home except for an excuse. Abandoning the congregation without an excuse makes the worshiper sinful, even if his prayer is considered valid. Listening to religious programs or lessons is not an excuse for abandoning congregational prayer; rather, it is a replacement of what is inferior for what is good, and it contradicts the purpose of attending lessons, which is to know and implement Allah's commands, the most important of which is establishing prayer.
