The answer

If you pray in congregation with your father at home, there is no sin upon either of you, and you both attain the reward of congregational prayer. However, if you pray alone at home while you are able to go to the mosque and hear the (call to prayer), then you incur sin, based on the opinion of those who consider congregational prayer an individual obligation (wujuban 'ayniyan).
