Does holding a daily group Qur'an recitation session (maqra'ah) after Fajr prayer contradict the Prophetic hadiths that forbid raising one's voice in recitation and prayer, and which command that some worshippers should not recite the Qur'an aloud over others? And if the answer is that it is permissible, does the ruling differ on Friday, considering the Prophet's prohibition against forming circles (tahalqu) on Friday before the prayer? And what is the prohibited duration for forming circles before Friday prayer?

The two aforementioned hadiths prohibit reciting loudly and raising one's voice to the extent that it disturbs other worshippers or those engaged in dhikr, because it causes annoyance and prevents them from focusing on their prayers.

Al-Hattab mentioned that Malik disapproved of raising one's voice while teaching knowledge in the mosque, saying: "Knowledge and raised voices," for they used to sit as if whispering secrets to each other.

Al-Dusuqi said: "A teacher in the mosque should not raise his voice beyond necessity."

Therefore, there is no harm in having a Quranic study circle in the mosque, provided that it does not disturb anyone and that voices are not raised beyond necessity.

As for forming circles before the Friday prayer, we have explained the prohibition of this, which applies to every part of Friday before the prayer, due to the hadith (definition) that mentions it and because scholars explain this by stating that people are commanded to arrive early for the prayer.
