The Friday prayer (Jumu'ah) is not valid on a ship because it is not a homeland. One of the conditions for the validity of Jumu'ah is that it must be established in a city, village, or a place affiliated with them. If Jumu'ah is not performable, those on the ship must pray Dhuhr (noon prayer).
