It is more befitting to go to the mosque where the sermon is delivered in Arabic, as benefiting from the sermon is its primary purpose. A sermon delivered in a language other than Arabic misses its essential objective, which is admonition and counsel. There is a disagreement among jurists regarding its validity. Furthermore, some jurists hold that it is impermissible for someone other than the Khatib (preacher) to lead the Friday prayer. Therefore, do not deprive yourself of the benefits of Jumu'ah by attending a sermon you do not understand. One must listen attentively in a mosque where the sermon is delivered in a language other than Arabic.
