Repeating a prayer—Jumu'ah or otherwise—without a valid reason is disliked by some scholars, because if it were legislated, it would be possible to perform the prayer many times, which is disliked. However, repeating the prayer is considered by some Shafi'is, such as someone who travels and sees the people of a town praying differently, whereas Al-Adhra'i prohibited it.
